David,

Here is your message "from the other forum".

I did manage to pick up 3 5ct +- radiant stones to show you .
I'll try to have photos and stats listed this evening- although it may take till tomorrow.
What do you have for us?

Thanks and I will have many questions.

HI dssxxx,
Welcome to "the friendly forum"!!!

I will post the photos of the stones here tomorrow.
Not that I was "in love' with any of them.

We did get a few large J-K-L color radiant cuts the other day.
I'll post photos of those as well.

Below is an L/VS2 6.66 carat MONSTER stone. Great cut on this one!!

Nice.........a little big even for the wife.... :-)

What is your opinion of this stone?  We are probably looking at staying with the Rounds.

And when we find something, perhaps if you do not handle tht stone....you can obtain it?

dssxx- I never met a diamond David could not find. He has great resources. You may not see a lot of rounds on our site but he gets plenty of rounds and just about any other shape or color for customers who call. I think you'd want to call him at 1-877-952-8736.

HI dssxxxxx- I love this radiant. It's huge- has an awesome cut, and a perfect combo of color clarity to make it much more affordable, yet still easy on the eye

In some cases we can obtain stones from the same lists as other online sellers.
We can check to see what we can come up with.

Here is what the dealer had to say:

Turns out that the 5.23 became available, so I have it and took some photos of it.  On photo 007 you will be able to identify the grade setting inclusion which is located in the 11:00 star facet just off the table.  It can be seen just slightly under the edge of the table and slightly in the bezel facet.  Those would be the crystals reflection.

And a few pictures:

the pictures show no glaring deficiencies- however I would need to personally inspect the stone to give an accurate assessment.

Actually, I just took a second look ( we've been sooo busy today!!)

The photos show some reflections that look off to me.
it could be that they are simply taken from an angle- but there seems to be something "off center" based on the photos....

I know the HCA came out exc.

What do you have similar?  The GIA is above.

I can pick this up for $77K without trade.

Always willing to talk and see if we can come up with something.

This same stone has been offered to me by 3 companies........... Grin

Thanks.

Hi dssxxx,
My sincere advice is to use the HCA score for something to put in the litter box- if it does not bother the kitties, that is.
There's absolutely no relevance to it whatsoever.

In terms of the stone: I'm working with a few cutters today and tomorrow to see what's available.

One very important point here: If there is to be a trade involved, it makes no sense shopping as if it's a straight purchase.
The trade will affect the entire deal to a great extent.

I am not locked into a trade.  I can always sell her diamond privately.

Keep me posted and let's chit-chat.

no offense intended, but i much prefer non-rounds once they get above 2 carats, they sit up so high, and look a bit garish to me.  i heard the asscher cut was developed specifically for larger carat stones, is that true?  i love large asschers, they just sing.  and that devilish 6.66 has an AMAZING cut, i could look at her for hours.

They are good looking diamonds, but I think $77 sounds high to me...then again the EX/EX/EX has never done it for me.
