webmistress  Oh gosh, I hope you don't think me being rude, but the little thumbnail picture of the new E 1.14 EC that is currently showing on the "New Items" page of the DBL website....... well,......... it just does not do that diamond justice!  The odd colored background makes it look like an L/M color EC instead of it's gorgeous icey whiteness.  That poor baby deserves one of it's other pictures listed there so it can be seen in it's true beauty!

Yes, I know no one asked for my opinion, but... I had to say something. When you see that picture compared to the other white diamonds shown, it just makes that one look very non-white.

Rhonda... I think David would respect you pointing that out concerning the thumbnail picture, especially since you are a photographic genius!!

I simply can't choose either.  I am astounded how big that Asscher faces up and yet keeps its beautiful co-eccentric angels!    I love chubby EC too!   Ala Sam and WM's!  2 of my dream rings!!!!!!! th_AWA123112 th_AWA123112

Rude? Certainly not! Opinions like this are always welcome.  I'm just going to add a: david  in case this is something he handles.

Well, I have to say the one I planted on the front page does it justice. I couldn't wait to put it up. I'm quite proud of myself even though I did not even take the photo!

Or what about doing both pics? The first shows the steps quite nice and the 2nd shows the glarkle!

I think she's right :-).

The bg in the 1st photo gives it a yellow cast that it obviously doesn't really have.

The second photo-- be still my heart.

Ahhhhhhh yessssssss, now that is a great photo that shows all it's loveliness! At least to me it does! If I didn't already have an E emerald cut, I would be dialing the phone!  Grin

That one that David just posted was the one I used. I like the one with the light background as well. I think we can have all of them but replacing the thumbnail with that other is great. I used it on the front page rotation as large as I could! It is so, so gorgeous. But I'm sure that surprises no one here.

I like R1960 because it's still a good grade almost as big but cheaper.  Grin

Ahhhh, interesting. *POOF* And, this old thread becomes new and relevant in an instant! What goes around comes around? OMC, I see the exquisitely fine and oh-so-lovely "pink dust trap" is up for grabs? *SIGH* AGAIN, the flying hippos are passing me by. *SIGH*

WHERE?!?  My search comes up blank on R1960.  I vaguely remember the pink 'dust trap' as a gorgeous ring, but I can't find it! 1237387oyy519k20r

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet ...

(BTW - I'm sorry, I should have put a tongue-in-cheek smilie next to the "for sale" statement; not yet. I realise re-reading the post that the joking tone I had in mind did not come across)
