Jen...check out this blog for some AMAZING ttd photos.

This photographer was one of our photographers at our wedding in Mexico. We weren't able to gain access to the cenote for our post-wedding shoot ( Angry) but she got some amazing shots on the beach anyway. I was a weenie and didn't want to ruin my dress (I also needed to sell it after the wedding!) but scroll through her blog and you'll see some incredible work, lots of underwater shots that are sooo ethereal!!

And what a great excuse to go on a vacation to the Mayan Riviera!!

I love lace dresses!  They are both TDF, but NOT for my figure type.

That white one is gorgeous, but what a butt shot!  You could have a bad case of Noassatall, and still have that one make you ask 'does this make my butt look big?"

Five years ago, my husband and I went on a romantic 25th wedding anniversary cruise.   In the brochure it mentioned that the Captain of the boat would renew wedding vows for anyone that desired to do so.  I thought that would be very special, so I mentioned it to my husband.  He quickly replied "Didn't I do it right the first time?"   Obviously, we didn't renew our vows! And we're still happily married! So, my advise is to go for a nice piece of DBL jewelry instead, like I did for our 30th wedding anniversary!!!  (Please ready my iVouch description of it.)

DJ, are you still planning your renewal ceremony?

I never got round to posting a pic of my dress and I can't find any close ups on my laptop, but here's one taken as we arrived for our reception.

Aw, thank you! It was a last minute decision to marry, and a wedding on a shoe string budget, and though I say it myself, I think we pulled it off!

We'd been engaged for about 9 months when we suddenly thought it would be fun to get married sooner rather than later. We gave ourselves 3 months to plan so we could get married within a year of our engagement. It was a lot of fun and we had a fantastic day.

We got married 12 months after our first date - and 7 months after our engagement.!  How's that for fast.  And it's been over 30 years now.  Guess we both new what we wanted, and got it when we saw it!

Thanks, all!
The trick to a cheap wedding but with all the frills is to get married on a Monday. No one gets married on a Monday, so you get your pick of venues, cars etc and since it would have been a non earning day for most vendors, you get a heck of a discount, too.

My MOH did the flowers (they were stunning) and we made our own cake and favours, so that helped. We do love our local castle -our gym membership is there (gym is in an outbuilding to one side), and that gave us 20% off food.  Weddings can be done for not a lot of cash - you just need grand ideas and a lot of nerve. Oh me, that castle picture has made my day. What is it? What century? Magnificent, and your wedding looks anything but "shoestring!!" Love the cars.

Titania, it is an amazing building. It's a hotel and spa now, but was built originally as a fortified dwelling house. The original tower dates from 1488, and the main part of the castle was added on in the mid 16th century to form an L-shape. The view above was a much later addition, built onto the castle in early 19th century and forming a triangle with the existing wings.

The back of the castle, from 1488, looks like this and the windows with the white blinds are on the room where we had our reception dinner.

eta, it's supposed to be haunted, too. A few people have found hazy, uninvited guests when they've received their wedding photos taken in the castle. Nothing untoward on mine, but I worked here as a student and there are some very cold, creepy rooms that I didn't care to be left alone in.

Thanks for the information! I'd love to stage Macbeth in it. Just beautiful. And a ghost, too.....
Your wedding must have been just spectacular inside. I can only imagine the interior.

I saw this wedding dress and didn't know where to look first...... her boobs showing or the bulbous butt....... If a model can look hippy in this dress, there is no hope for us more voluptous gals.

Holy Cannoli! DropGob That is the most grotesque wedding gown I've ever encountered, bar none.  Saqsay, you'd best avoid that site for a while or it's gonna give you nightmares, and us, too.

I could almost deal with the chest section if only it covered a little more of the model's breasts.   But the hip part?  Why, oh why, would you want a gown that made you look hippy?  Someone please explain this gown to me!   Grin
