i was wondering something similar myself, i'd never heard of horsehead diamonds until reading dbl, i read something in the horsehead earrings listing about daussi creating the horsehead cut, are there other cutters doing it as well?
i searched for horsehead diamonds online before committing to buying my ring and found very few examples.
anyone know anything more about them?

We've learned that the founder of Henri Daussi invented the Horsehead cut.
In terms of current production, all the ones we've had in stock over the past 2 years were cut by Daussi.
However other now cut them as well.
The number is limited for many reasons.
For one thing, it takes a very special kind of rough to cut a Horse head- in most cases such rough becomes trilliants, or heart shapes.
For another thing, the cut itself is quite "boutique" -not nearly as popular as many of the more traditional cuts.
