Wow, Ah2!  David's guys did a great job of matching your earrings.  That is a gorgeous clasp!  are you going to wear it in front?  I would; it is just too pretty to wear on the back of your neck.

Hi y'all, and thank for the compliments.  I'm shipping them all to the factory, where they belong.  I just sent the earrings to D and told him I wanted a new clasp that will go with these earrings.... you see the results.  (I did run the idea by OMC first - I consider OMC quite the designer, so I rely on him to be my arbiter of taste.  Besides, I've been told by more that one source that all my taste is in my mouth, and think there is merit to that opinion.) smarty

I had thought long and hard about an enhancer, but was scared off when someone mentioned the potential for harming the pearls by the metal in the enhancer's back and bail.  The original clasp was definitely nothing special and cheapened the look of the string - at least to my eye.  So, a new clasp seemed like the right direction to go.  The earrings were the catalyst.  I had been considering  my beloved R1945 in a halo for the clasp, but this made more sense, once I found the earrings.  R1945 would really have been overkill, pricewise, but oh, so lovely.

OMC - there weren't any problems with my serpents in the ski pix because I was wearing a hat!  Even Sally gets cold in the snow.    snake

I'll have to wait until I unpack my dress and try the pearls on with the neckline.  I'm hoping I can wear them at @4 o'clock in the front, Sparkly; but I'm sure my hair will be in an up-do, so the clasp will be on display no matter where I put it.  Cool

Ah2, your wedding pictures are not going to be showing the back of your neck!  In the front, girlfriend!  That clasp is so spectacular, it has to be in the front!

(Besides, I think your colorful dragon will be competing with the the clasp.)

Good point, Sparkly - I sort of forgot about him.  Here in SoCal, he's definitely on the small and 'hohum' side of the art form.

Oh, my! That is really beautiful. Very unusual, and I love that it was made specifically to match those wonderful pearl earrings. They'll all look exquisite together.

AH2 that`s such a fabulous catch. I agree it needs to be worn where it can be seen. You`ll be such a stunning bride.  Smiley

Thanks, SV.  I am on tenterhooks, and not likely to sleep much this evening.  David called this afternoon, and the brown truck will be visiting sometime tomorrowowowow! ura1 ura1

The clasp looks so lovely, especially now that it is surrounded by those lovely pearls.  And David sees the pink in them, too - it's just barely a blush, but it makes them so special.  C'mon, dawn!

Absolutely beautiful. Just perfect!

The clasp is a little work of art. You'll have to wear it with your hair up, so it can be seen.

Jen

ETA, I see you've already thought of that! Of course you have.  Wink

Oh very lovely!  I see some pink too!

Be sure to do a test run on where you want the clasp to lay before the wedding.  I've seen pretty clasps and enhancers go from the pretty off to the side to the not so pretty just hanging there dead in the front.

not to worry Squiggly (I love that name).  I'm definitely an off-center sort of person.   smarty

Just sitting here pacing, waiting for the big brown truck.  Some days just seem to last forever, and it's barely 9 am where I live.   1224

Eh that was all David on the Squiggly... though that's exactly what we call my 2.5 year old son  Grin

I only mentioned about the clasp moving in the front because I saw some not so good pictures done of someone's wedding.  The enhancer started off to the side at about 4 o'clock, but by the middle oft he pictures it was awkwardly hanging  dead center.  With two strands it didn't lay right at all.  I love the look though.  The exectution wasn't good.  The photographer though, should've noticed and fixed them for her though.

No matter what you definitely need pictures of the clasp on your big day Smiley

They're here!  THEY'RE HERE! Banane13

Unfortunately, pictures must wait until after work.  But they are beautiful together, the earrings and the necklace.  We'll have to see what my iphone can do with them, after applying the duct tape to mask the wrinkles. Grin

What was wrong with that girl's coordinator?  Hadn't either of them ever heard of 2-sided tape or that fabric tape to hold necklines in-line?

pardon the iPhone and that my eyesight is just not as clear as they once were...

The back is equally beautiful, almost like 2 butterflies rather than flowers

The golds are more similar in color than would appear in the first shot, this is in plain daylight

Awww so very pretty!!!!  We need neck shots too  Grin

I admit I never would have thought to try to use the sticky tape like that.  As for the bride, I think she didn't have a good photographer anyway so I am sure that didn't help.   No coordinator to help, though you'd think her Maid of Honor would have helped out.  Oh well....

Where it an emoticon that curtsies?  Thank you PL, and now that I'm off work, here's a couple of shots.  Jeez, I wish someone was around that could man a camera.  It's hard to take pictures with that iPhone and get things together.

Here's the length and a the clasp on at @ 4

and at 11  - so You can see the earring

and a better one of the back of the clasp
