mine is bout the length of my palm, maybe 5" x 2.5" x 2".  much much smaller than that big guy.

thanks guys!  i love him too, the pic i posted of him is actually on a ring box, to give you perspective, and he's probably closer to 4" long than 5.  i can't imagine he could fetch all that much, but i honestly have no idea what any of my inherited opals are worth.  I should totally take my grandma's jewelry to antiques roadshow!
