yahoo yahoo  She's Awesome, clglwi!  Congratulations, and wear her in good health and happiness for many years to come!  I do like how pristine the shape is in that setting.  Very crisp and with a nice contrast between the plain band and the diamond's lemon glitter.  YUM! 4

I admit this stone and setting has me cured of wanting a halo like I thought I once wanted  Grin

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when outside, but it is a little fireball with an awesome array of colors flashing off of it.  And even in a dark room with only the light from my laptop shining on it, it still sparkles.

Good thing it is sunny here and should be for the rest of the week.  My DS and I can go play outside and I can gawk at it some more LOL

I admit I feel a little bad saying we want the setting changed in the future, but it is mostly because my husband wants to do something special.  I hate saying it because it truly is beautiful as it is.  It's one of those emotional things though that I can't say no to.  I am sure we'll just wait a few years and then send it for a new "hair do" of sorts.  I really can't see myself wanting to part with it for a while.

I stay at home and take care of a 2.5 year old so you can imagine I am not always a type to wear rings all day.  I bake and clean a lot so I'd say most of the time you will find me sans any rings or watches in my house.

Yesterday I wore my rings all day long  Grin

My husband looked at it closely after our son went to bed and he really liked it.  The sun was setting and we were in a darker room.  He said something along the lines of if it sparkles this much now I bet it is even better with brighter lighting.

If you think the picture is easy on the eyes, I am sure David will agree it is awesome in person!  I am so in love with the color.  It is always decidedly yellow, but in some lighting it is softer than others.  Like in the pictures it changes a little and sometimes it is so bright it shocks me a little.

We are planning on going to the zoo today if I get our act together... I bet she'll be lovely there too Wink

Wow, did that ever turn out nice!  Definitely crushed lemon ice.  And I think the length-to-width ratio is just perfect.  I'd hate to change the setting as well, but it's nothing to worry about now.  In the meanwhile, enjoy this beauty!

LOL!  That would leave no room for anything else on my finger  Grin

So I was out at the zoo today and we were in all kinds of outdoor lighting.  In the bright direct light, it was like a bunch of little fireworks.  My favorite was when sun was hitting it, but not directly.  It looked like it was glowing.  And then in the shadows it reminded me of a lemon jolly rancher.  Yummm....  I really love this stone Smiley

That is really an absolutely stunning diamond. I can fully understand why you don't want to give it up, even for a little bit. Enjoy!

Maybe in a couple of years, you can mark another special date with an additional ring. angel  Because that diamond is so perfect as a solitaire in that setting, I really don't think you could improve it! Score-101010

Hmmm... I guess that ring could fit on my right middle finger....

Though it reminds me of how I felt when an aunt of mine was showing me her 5 carat light yellow marquise stone.  I told her it was beautiful and she offered to sell it to me.  She came from a huge Texas oil family and not sure she got the idea that not everyone can afford something like that even in resale.

She also has these gorgeous long fingers that can support a rock like that.  I have kid sized mitts almost.  Sometimes being petite stinks.  Though I guess it is good because I make most diamonds look huge on my fingers compared to others  Grin

I doubt I'll do a new ring for a while.  I would love to have a pair of kite set asschers on lever back earrings.  I love asschers and my first holes are the last set I need to upgrade.  I'd also love a 15" DBTY necklace or simple pendant.  I promised a computer to my husband first though LOL

All doable dreams, Clgwli.  It just takes some time.  Heaven knows my sparkly to-do list is long enough after only a year or so of hanging around here! Evil
