Hi, I am a new member with a question.  How do trade ups work?  This is a pic of my DBL ring that I would like to trade. I'm not sure if I should trade the whole thing or just the center stone for something yellower and larger!!  What do the pros think???  rahrah rahrah

HI Giddy!
Welcome to CDI!

What's the condition of the ring?
When we take in a trade up, the conditon of the ring plays a role.....
If there's a lot of wear, we'll need to make a new ring for the stones.

If it's in excellent shape ( I'm sure it probably is) we would allow you full trade up if you picked somethign that was at least two times the original price you paid.
If you wanted to keep the ring, and have us remodel it to accept a different diamond, we'd need to look at the diamond you wanted to trade upto, and see if the ring works.

Hope this helps!

Hi giddy.  Your ring is beautiful !! But most of us here know all to well how tempting the DBL inventory can be! I myself just did an upgrade recently and am THRILLED with the outcome!

I love your DBL ring! What are the specs on the center stone? Do you already have a stone in mind that you want to upgrade with?

Well that one is a smaller ct weight then the one she has now, but brighter yellow. It is .93 Fancy intense yellow. This one is 1.51 Fancy yellow. DBL calls it "frozen sunshine"!

What if you traded for a ring already made? By the way, the one you own is pretty delish.

I agree!  Evil  I know how hard it can be if you are drawn to certain shapes.... took me, what seemed like forever to make up my mind!   BUT I would go for a little different look! Grin
