Hi Chris, welcome to CDI!

David is on vacation this week - I'm sure he'll help with a video as soon as he's back, but hang on!

Hey Chrisje,
In the interim, Here's a link to a video where David compared several natural blue diamonds with irradiated blues, one of my personal all time favorites Grin

No, it's just incredibly difficult to get a pure blue.
Plus, a stone that looks pure blue, when held next to a sapphire like the one we used can pale the diamond's color by comparison.
Oddly enough it seems that Marquises have about the purest blue.\
I don;t know if that's due to the shape, or just the particular diamonds I saw yesterday....
There's also a few gorgeous treated blue emerald cuts......

Please do tell about the "gorgeous treated blue emerald cuts" - details please!!!!  I have a beautiful emerald cut aquamarine but have yet to own an emerald cut diamond so please bring the "gorgeousness" to the fore!

VERY pretty. If I had money to burn... I'd go for one, and, I must say, I'd have a very hard time deciding which one of these two  I like more.

I've only watched the video once, however, already, I have a question: David, when you tilted at least one of the stones, it seemed to appear brownish – was this a reflection, or actual diamond color when viewed from certain angles?

My favorite part is the line up of the blues with the white cushion and the yellow pear!  That would be quite a pendant!!  Is that yellow pear in stock??? david

I have to say, of the irradiated diamonds I've seen, these are the prettiest. But prefer the natural colors. The irradiated are just too "electric" for my taste.

This is all David's fault for choosing unbelievable natural colored diamonds and spoiling me rotten.

david While we're on the subject of irradiated stones: Is it significantly more difficult to find a pair of irradiated stones, say, to use as a pair of side stones, than it is to find a matching pair of natural colored diamonds (a difficult enough task)?

It is difficult to find matching pairs, but of course that does not stop us Evil.

Fancy deep green?

Looks nice, but I still think nothing beats tsav for green...  Evil

Actually, it's a nice looking stone, but too evidently artificial. And I bet it's not cheap either.
