How about a 5 stone band with little .10-.15ct NOMs ( New Old Mine)

We need to think of a good name.....

How about that beautiful underhalo split shank setting, with pink dimonds in the halo, and white in the shank, just a thought, she is such a wonderful diamond I think that she would look great sitting on a pink cushion so to speak.

Since Ah2bqat uses NOM as a descriptive, I suggest we call these new old mine cuts from this source: New Mine Cut (NMC).

Yummy!  I like the idea of a 5 stone band with NMCs.

I dunno, Sparkly - I think NOM covers stones like this just about perfectly.   cat  They are purrrrfectly delicious, after all.  Right?

I like the name Mini Miners, but let's make the ring with 5 new old mine diamonds that are .30 points each for 1.5 carat total weight.   I like lots of finger coverage.

I think a band of 5 little NOMs sounds absolutely scrumptious!  Fantastic idea!

DBL - any idea on what a 5 stone, 1.5 carat ring of NOMs in platinum would list for on the website? (you can always make the first ring, in a size 7 1/2).  Smiley

If I get "NOMs by DBL" tattooed on me, can I have one?  Grin Grin

Seriously, I had a When Harry Met Sally Moment over that last stone. GORGEOUS.

If you wanted to do different, it could be sapphires in the halo. But I like the diamonds, too. Single.

Side shot- here you can see the open culet, and high crown....

The color is deceptive.
i feel it's an M(?)...however sometimes it looks colorless, and other times the tint is readily apparent...

Not to shabby a guess I guess....

Here is a stone traded in by forum member ebedner....

It was kind of beat up, so we had one of our cutters clean it up to brand new condition....

She had some girdle abrasion but was otherwise really clean and I think truly an old diamond.  She was gorgeous before the repolish - she is absolutely STUNNING now!  Smiley  Go get her - you won't regret it...  Smiley  I only traded her in to be able to get my dream Daussi Halo... Cheesy

It was in a wedding set I wore, but wasn't my original engagement ring.  I did a little boo hooing too, but am excited to get my Daussi...  Smiley  It wasn't a family heirloom or anything like that, so that made it a little easier... Smiley

Gorgeous OEC. Does it have a high crown?

But I sure do love the new one you're getting.

She sure did, beautiful early OEC cut, small table, pretty kozibe effect.  I think she is around K color.  Can't wait to see what GIA says about her!  Smiley
