Hi there,

I am new to the board but not new to DBL.  I have been drooling over the site for years... Smiley  I am a military wife and Mom to two boys and dream of owning a piece by DBL in the near future.  I am a diamond-a-holic and really love old cuts and emerald cuts...

I help David out on another board and am really glad to meet you all and be a member here.  Smiley

Okay, Im a little confused here. lol. Do you already have a loose OMC diamond or are you contemplating purchasing an OMC diamond from DBL and having it set?  Is the question whether you want a ring that is already made up (R2498) or make a new one?  icon_scratch

Whatever you decide, I'm sure you're gonna love it...David won't steer you wrong.

LOL No - the size is precisely why I am waffling...  The OMC was around 6.5mm (1.08ct) prior to the repolish.  It's 1.05 now but I am not sure of the final measurements yet.  I don't think it lost much size though...  Smiley  I really really really like the size of the Daussi Cushion...  Smiley

DUH- I forgot to measure it before the recut.
Here's my best measurement now


  WEIGHT: 1.05ct
  SHAPE: Old Mine Cut
  COLOR: K
  CLARITY: VS2
  MEASUREMENTS: 6.18 x 6.02 x 4.47 mm
  TOTAL DEPTH: 74.3%

I think it was about 6.25 before the repair


ooops- R2948 is in the recently ( an hour ago) sold list.....

We'll find another  in a day or two....
