I am having a new wedding ring made with a one carat marquise and .53 carat fancy light yellow half moons.  My problem is this, I really like the "surprise" diamond idea, I was thinking pink, but all the settings that I can find with surprise diamonds are for round or princess cut.  Is there any way to incorporate a surprise diamond (or a few, lol) into a setting with the marquise and half moons?

Hi Orion! Your new ring sounds like it will be  stunning. I'm sure just about anything can be done regarding your desire for "surprise diamonds," let's send a message to David to be sure that he sees your question here...

BTW -  the short answer to your question is yes; I saw one in my last trip to NYC (although it had a halo, not side stones, the centre stone was a marquise)

This sounds like a very unique ring.  I saw go for it.  She will love it.

David can make pretty much anything if you've got some good pictures or drawings that he can use to discuss your ideas with his factory.  Their work is impeccable.   Do you have any pics of the stones?  I would love to see your ring when it's completed!
