It does indeed. The photo says "Duc de Vendome", and although he is the closest thing that France has to a King, he is not one...

I was thinking the same thing myself!

I also love Princess Claire's over all look.  That tiara is perfect for the lacy dress & her veil.

Looks like the royal who married the porn star is visibly pregnant... wonder if that's the only reason they allowed it Wink  Seriously I am very curious about that one.

I found out that the "porn guy" is actually Emanuele Filiberto of the house of Savoy.   he's the grandson of the last king of Italy

His wife is a French actress named Clotilde Courau and was 6 months pregnant with their first child when they married on Sept 25, 2003.  They had a short engagement of about 2 months and only met earlier in the year they were married.  I guess it was love at first sight Smiley

I don't obviously know much about Fench films, but she was nominated for a Cesar and won a European Film Award as well as some others.  So not sure where porn comes into all of it.

I found more pictures on someone's blog (no idea who) of Princess Claire's gown. 

Apparently Anne Hathaway's dress from the Princess Diary's 2 was based off of it.  Personally I think they didn't get it quite as nice

I love lace like that on gowns.  I had hand embroidered organza over ivory satin for my wedding gown and I love the look.  It wasn't too expensive either since it was made for me by a relative.  Family picked up the lace for me in PR itself.  The lace was significantly more expensive than the satin.  IIRC it was 4x more than the satin.  We saved a yard or so from the dress and made my son's baptismal gown out of it as well.

you mean no porn star? bummer.... and I thought that made some juicy gossip. oh well, the website were I found most of these brides is in italian and doesn't translate so well. my computer automatically translates but usually the english is so bad, it doesn't make much sense.
