You mean the one including the Evil Queen (with bay leaf side order), or the one right above? Is it coloured diamonds? There seem to be pinks and yellows in there...

I would take any of them! You could always have the nicer of the stones re-mounted, right?!

I love tiaras. My biggest wedding regret is that I didn't spend the £350 and rent myself a Georgian rose cut tiara as planned. At the time, it seemed extravagent, since I couldn't keep it, but I wish I'd done it! Would have made for wedding pics I'd actually want to look at. Grin

It's not a matter of age. I suspect I would not have liked her at 16, (or 22) either... she looks EVIL!

then you must know who she is?

Mrs Mitchell- i know what you mean about the tiara. i would have loved to have worn a real one at my wedding too. i don't even know where you can rent one of here. would you have borrowed yours from a jeweler? i know celebrities can do that kind of thing, but i don't know about us poor yokels.

I haven't a clue. But she looks evil, probably speaks evil and smells evil too (pardon me).

So who is she? Madame Evil, i mean.
Lovely Princess Diana -- she was truly royal, with or without tiara/crown.

Could be someone from the Dutch royal family, but I can't find the jewels...

I think she's Cruella de Vil on an evening out.

There was a company that advertised in bridal magazines here. They just did tiara / other jewel rental for weddings and big events. I did look into it and picked out a beautiful tiara, but  decided in the end to put the money towards our honeymoon instead.

We had a lovely time in the South of France, but I still think about the tiara...

It's kind of easy when one is beautiful. My wife - much more modestly, and without tiaras - always comes out splendidly in photos. Differently from me.

The late Queen Frederika (Greece) is wearing the naturalistic diamond and ruby tiara. I believe the tiara originally came from Russia. The "leaves" are somewhat movable and their positioning can change the look of the tiara a bit.

Perhaps misunderstood, perhaps not, she was not liked by many. I understand that Frederika had a VERY strong character. Also, being of German descent, reigning as Queen in Greece after WWII did not add to her popularity.

See, I told you she was EVIL!

T: I shall take a picture of myself wearing a necklace (if I can close it), and let the polls be the judge...
