Where as the pearls I posted reminded me of the top part of a bikini (see how polite I am?) this reminds me of the bottom part.   I think it would get in the way of finger movement too.  In the ad they say the sapphire is near 3 carats so it is no tiny unnoticeable trinket.

I see your point, joia.  Pearls and sapphires - nice suit!  Maybe it'll catch on at Victoria's Secrect when they get tired of diamond encrusted bras.  Or we could see if DJM would like to try it out to replace his grass skirt and coconuts.  Evil

I like the size and color of the stone, altho I'm not sure about the clipped corners, and the setting is definitely sub-prime quality.  Having the stone not sit square in the  bar-prongs would make me crazy over time.

Same here.   In other words I  love the sapphire (not the cut off corners but some serious flaws might have been the cause of this) but the setting is the fugliest part.

I can't believe I'm writing this  but I actually like this one.....other than the super yucky round brilliant ( and I use that term loosely) cut stones.

I think rough is kinda cool as is- I hadn't seen it set into a more "traditional" mounting before....

I just saw this shot....

Funny how the ring is turned at an angle to the camera, yet the measuring stick is not.......

The rounds look a little better from this view.....
