If not, can you request a copy of it? That's what we did with our wedding footage from Farmer's Almanac TV

Well David,
We will all go and hit it so many times on the internet that they will have to make a show about it!!!  I will tell my Mom to link it to the football website.

Hi everyone,
truth be told I felt like I was a really stiff on camera...but the producer did make a point of letting me know the segment was good..which sounded like consolation......

The website thing is something mentioned with no definitive timeframe.
We have been promised a DVD of our segment....to be sent the day following the airing, December 21

Hang on, if this mirrors reality, what the heck was going on when CH visited David last time........ Grin j/k

Oh, and I had to look up "A-Rod".  Yum!

I had to look up A Rod too. Unfortunately all I got here was websites offering  24 hr drain rod services. May I assume this chap isn't a plumber?

Will we be able to link to the DVD footage at any point? U tube, maybe?

What a great piece--you are a natural David. the producer was right. I think you should send that tape out as a promo to see if anyone would pick it up. There's got to be someone that will bite!

I thought the segment was great David!  It was fun to see the cutting in video form.  I'm happy that we were able to see it.

Even your guitars got some air time!

Neat! You should make that viewable on your website as a permanent, easy to reach feature. Always nice to put a name with a face when spending big bucks online...and it's not a "commercial" where you've tried to convince someone to buy from you. Very natural and informative. Great job!!

David
I thought the clip was great and loved the tiny snippets of information about the people behind the diamond trade.
I recently read a book from New york Jewish studies, all about 47 th street and the diamond business from when it first started and the author had uncles Moishe and Shmiel who both worked in the industry but who before they died, helped her gain access to the distict and it`s workings. She did them proud.
Yep million dollar handshakes are in it, as are the DDC, arbitration, old pics and histories of families, cutters and other craftsmen, and a whole culture which brings us our bling.
Please keep your clip on the site, DBL isn`t just about diamond sales, it`s an education and not just about jewellery but everything connected to the creation of that jewellery and the people behind it. You`re now a living piece of 47th St history. Just my thoughts, for what they`re worth.

LOVED it!!!  Your mix of humor and knowledge are just perfect for TV!  Someone has got to pick this up!  I would much rather see you guys dealing with diamonds and all that their cutting, setting and selling entails rather than watch people getting tattooed all day (no offense to the many tattoo lovers here, but really, if those shows can make such a huge hit, can't you see David as a MAJOR star??)!

BTW, my great grandfather was a watch maker and jeweler on Canal Street from the early 1930s thru the 1980s, and passed the business on to my great uncle.  By the time he retired, that section of town had changed completely.  Was 47th St the diamond district at that time as well, or did it move uptown at some point.  David or Awestruck, do you know?  Just curious. Neither are alive to ask them stories now and I wish I had.

Wow!  Thank you so much everyone-it really means a lot, everyone's comments.

Great question GL!

Prior to World War II, Canal Street was the center of the diamond district in New York.
After World War II.  It was moved up to 47th St., there are remnants that still exist on Canal Street, but nothing substantial.

Thanks David!  Very interesting.  I am going to have to ask my grandmother why they never moved uptown.

I still cannot believe they didn't use this segment!

Great Job D!!!!  bigclap  I agree with everyone else this should be linked to your front page. I think it would ease off people concerned about buying on-line and seeing your a real person. You just came across so knowledgeable and so totally in your element.
