Hi everyone,
I'm so excited, I wanted to share this news with my close friends.
Today a production company from a major television network was here shooting a story about 47th street in New York.
The person they chose to guide them around the jungle that is 47th street? Yours truly!
The office featured to show how an "upstairs" 47th street operation looks?
Our little messy hole in the wall!

When the producer walked in at 8am ( yes I had to get up early), he took one look at the (newly cleaned) desk and howled..."Where's the MESS i saw the other day??? So we had to re-mess up the desk.
Reality TV you know......

At this point, it's a pilot- so we don't have an air date, or the title.

THANK YOU GUYS!!

I actually went to the Gap, and had 4 shirts sitting here so the producer could tell me if one was good for the camera..

I chose a nice blue one.
No jacket.

In one segment, they have one of the "barkers" on 47th street approach the host and ask if he wants to see something.
That guy was wearing a suit and tie......

I know, I know....dress for success.
On the other hand, Bill Gates never wears a tie......

I'm pretty darn excited about this, too. I'm just dying that I'm not up there for the whole thing. It is going to air, I just know it is.

Soooo cool!

BTW, I'd love to write a sitcom and I can't be the only one round here! How about we draft a couple of episodes - will you pitch it to your TV contacts David?? Grin  Managing the installation of a CCTV suite was the closest I ever came to a glamorous job in television.

I can't see US TV either. Maybe it will be downloadable from somewhere??

Do have to be Mr Roper?

I'd prefer to be more of a Magnum type.....

Right.
( for those who are not familair with '70s US television, Roper was a dork, and Magnum was Tom Selleck)
Anyway...the whole segment might only be 5 hours so I could not go into such detail...
Kidding.5 minutes is likely the max- so much of my dance scene will be left on the cutting room floor I'm sure......

Seriously- the producer asked both my brother and I to play a little for the segment- i played pedal steel, my brother a little flamenco piece.... ( that part is true...)

I wanted to show some of our diamonds and jewelry- but we have no showcases.
Taking out all the little guys from envelopes would have been time consuming, so we laid out a bunch of loose stones on a pad.
I'd say it was over 60 carat in total- probably $200k- didn't look like a whole lot  to me once I spread them out.....

Then we put out some rings

I'd say we'll be able top get the thing on youtube if it actually gets broadcast....
