Ok...sorry it has taken me so long to respond.  My mom had what we thought was a good old fashion case of arthritis that ended up really being a hip fracture!  We have been in the hospital all day and night.
She will be fine, and is recovering from surgery.

Back to the game.

Anyhoo, it was about a 4 carat square checkerboard cut,at the most it was a K-L color and on a thick paved band. I am not sure if this cut has an official name.

This is not to say she does not have more than one!!!!!!!

Here's the deal...  Some of those people on that other forum tear you up if you want anything besides a .5 carat D - IF RB and a Tolkowsky (he's 6th generation diamond cutter) gave his wife a diamond that was just a cool diamond.  She loved it too.

I would have gotten more info but people were pulling him left and right.

OK...I might have been wrong on the cut...looking around at similar cuts, I think it might have been more of a square opposed bar cut diamond...I did not know the correct term, but I am almost 100% sure.
