OK, six jewelers loupes. I'm calling that "galore" So, here's what you've got to do to win, if winning a jeweler's loupe sounds like something you'd like to do.. I'm going to post photos and a video of a diamond graded by GIA , you're going to guess the color. NO guessing till I post a video of the stone- I mean you can, but you'll be guessing at a disadvantage as others will see the upcoming video. I should have a video done tomorrow. The first six correct guesses win a ten power jewelers loupe. Here's photos of the subject of this contest. Good luck one and all- all are free to enter. The contest will run till Dec 20 Reserve the right to add rules I forgot since we haven't run a contest for a while PS Just for fun, I invite you to guess the table size. The table is the flat part on top of the diamond. The size is described as a percentage of the total area comprising the top of the diamond. For example- a 60% table. I've crudely outlined the the table of the contest stone here. This is an area near and dear to me- as the trends in diamond cutting have gone in one direction. To the disadvantage of round brilliant diamonds in general, I believe.

Annie, you are TOO funny. (Actually, we ALL know that NO ONE, I mean NO ONE, can come CLOSE to being as "modest" as DJM). OK...WAIT JUST ONE MINUTE!Can you all give me an example of when I was being immodest? And what's with the doctor dig? On the off chance you are still referring to the "DARE", all I can say is: "MOVE ON FOLKS" Geesh, it's like wearing a freakin' "scarlet A" around here. Don't listen to them OMC.

As promised, the video The diamond is just a little bit below 1.00ct djm! OMC_ this time you overshot on the large side. But we're getting there! It's a visualization thing. One would need to be able to look at the entire top of the diamond, and see how much space the table occupies. Hint: its smaller than 60%
