 david

Please sir,  could you post  a picture of R3027, the fancy brownish yellow (cushion??) next to the beauteous and petite R3019, vivid yellow orange oval? Along with those two, could you add the adorable R2858, little brown round, and the incredible R2991, of the wild greenish yellow.  (Yes, OMC, I KNOW the radiant isn't a good cut for the bracelet, but the color in contrast to my marquise and the R3019 and the size are what I want to think about.)
My heart is set on R3019, if it will only last another month or so, an dI would like to see my next best color and direction for the 3rd stone for the cuffso the size and color contrast are important. Evil

By the way, D, has the marquise come back from GIA yet, or does that take months?  I've never sent a stone off to be graded before.

Thanks, D!  Just whenever.   Pretty good news on the marquise, too, since I was expecting an 'M' color.  I guess I need to rename her as the 2KK.  Grin

That's an interesting assortment. I look forward to seeing it.

As to the marquise: how about "The K2"? Escalating new heights in diamonds.

Grin  just so long as it isn't the QE2!

I look forward to your assessment of the color assortment, even tho I won't be able to put the 3019 on layaway until the second half of September, unless somebody beats me to her, first.  thewife  I already need to pay off Nicki's ring and my GIA cert.  I'll get out Monday and put that in the mail, D.  Promise!

Oh, and  please hold the ring.  Nicki's got a surgery scheduled for 9/3; so I want you to hold it until after she gets home, please.  Nice sort of get well thought, huh? Evil

Hi Sanchica!  This is my old 2KJ, now 'the K2'.  http://coloreddiamon...f-your-jewels/2kj/0/  I'm planning to use her as the center to a 'galaxy' cuff, inspired by Awestruck's constellation bracelet.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one of the orange ovals will still be available when I can afford it, and then a third stone, yet to be determined.along with my 12 little rounds and some little yellow rounds, yet to be bought, and white and yellow melees to mimic a spiral galaxy (#19, to be exact, per the Hubble pictures) on a cuff about 1.5 - 2" wide in yellow gold.  So right now, D is showing me different stones that might work, color or size-wise with the K2.  I could always use the .5ct round that was in my old pendant since we're doing the 1805 for Nicki.  It's a shame it wouldn't have made a good center, but that's diamonds for dummies - lesson 2021.  Ignorance can get you less than really nice stones. Awestruck's bracelet is here.  http://coloreddiamon...hp/topic,2511.0.html

Mine will be very different, having only 3 diamonds of character,  then a number of tiny 5-8 point stones, and melees swirling around the whole in yellow gold.  Modeled after this galaxy:

I'm waiting until I can buy a jewel jet steamer, which will be after the first.

I'm in the middle of a move and am waiting to pull it all together.  The big stuff goes the 5th, but I can order the steamer after the first.  I've fallen prey to the 'I can't get the gunk out of my half moons' syndrome.  Granted I have a hard time even seeing the half moons, but there you go.  If I can see gunk, no way can I photograph the ring.  Beside the camera is already boxed up! :icon_scratch:un

Funniest thing - after swearing that this would be my E-ring and Mum's ring my RHR, all is reversed.  Mum's ring hurts the knuckle on the RH, while Li'l BLOOO is a tad loose on the left hand.  What can I say?  I'm all bass-ackwards! Undecided

I've thought of other names for her than the K2 - How about the 'Why 2K' or 'Galaxy Quest'? Grin

and thanks, Miz M.  I loved her from the moment we met, too.

And aren't I the idiot?   tard

I meant to ask for ITEM #: R3027, not R3028, which I mistook for mine own Why 2K!  Sorry David, I'll go and check the rest of the item numbers now, too.

Don't have any chameleons hanging around the office, do you?  I keep leaning to OMC's suggestion of a greenish something or other, although those light browns are intriguing.

Hey Bloo...I was just getting ready to do some photos- the first stone you aslked about- R3027- is a round, straight brown, no yellow. Were you talking about R3022?
